Organic Italian wine, growth continues

The organic Italian wine is the result of an approach that favors the natural goodness of the grapes from the peninsula, choosing a non-invasive production method from farming to bottling, which is reflected in the excellent nature of the products. These wine brands are indeed experiencing a very fertile moment of appreciation, demonstrating how quality knows no crisis.

According to the figures of  Wine Monitor Nomisma organic wine grows both in the domestic Italian market and in the international one: a notable case is 2013, when the 4% increase in domestic demand occurred in contrast to a 6% decrease in total demand. Data collected by the US indicate that one in three bottles of organic wine purchased comes from the Bel Paese. The issue of yield per hectare also seems resolved, now close to the average.

Organic Italian wine today represents 7% of the total produced, a percentage equivalent to as much as four million hectoliters. A sector made up of wine brands ready to bet on excellence, thanks to the exclusive use of certified and often ancient techniques (for example, manual destemming) while limiting or even excluding the use of sulfites.
