Mineral water
Mineral water, natural—drink it
The production of Water mineral Whether natural, still, or sparkling, Italian sparkling wine is particularly diverse and highly regarded. With a long tradition and a selection of hundreds of different labels, Italy leads the world in per capita consumption. According to Italian law, its distinctive characteristics must include “health-promoting properties.”
It is called mineral water because it comes from a deep, protected, and uncontaminated source. It is bacteriologically pure, undergoes no disinfection, and is bottled at the source, with its composition listed on the label. The ‘fixed residue“, that is, the dry matter content of water evaporated at 180 degrees, determines its classification into three main categories: minimally mineralized, oligomineral, and rich in mineral salts.
Human beings are “made” of water. In adults, water accounts for about 60% of body weight, while in children, that percentage rises to nearly 80%. For this reason, it is essential not only to drink an amount each day that meets our needs—at least 1.5 liters—but also to ensure that the water is of the highest quality.
