Greco di Tufo, Mediterranean excellence

Greco di Tufo It is an excellent white wine from Campania. It is produced in the Avellino area and is originally from Greece, from which it takes its name. This "Greco" wine boasts the DOCG recognition and is among the most appreciated Italian wines, both in Italy and abroad. It is known for its very fragrant bouquet, the persistence of its taste, with notes of citrus and bitter almond. The first impression reveals freshness and a light acidity, which introduces the body and fruitier nuances.

Greco di Tufo, suitable for many pairings

This Mediterranean masterpiece is suitable to accompany many different pairings, from fish to porcini mushrooms. It has a completely Greek origin and is one of the few Italian white wines suitable for aging. The minimum percentage of the namesake grape variety is set at 85%. The remaining 15%, but no more, can be covered by the white Coda di volpe. However, it is not at all rare to find bottles produced from a single grape variety, such as Cantine di Marzo, Le Masciare, or Villa Raiano.

The clay-calcareous soil, often volcanic in origin, allows roots to sink into plants that are on average 5 to 20 years old, cradling each white cluster in a relatively dry microclimate. Authenticity and tradition merge in a historic flavor, still capable of conquering even the most demanding palates today.
