The made in Italy from Guinness surprises with the longest tiramisu in the world
The tiramisu longest in the world is the new culinary record won by Italy in 2018. The extraordinary dessert, entered in the Guinness World Records, measures 266 meters. It was made by a team of 30 pastry chefs from Friuli Venezia Giulia, in Villesse (Gorizia), using 48 thousand ladyfingers, 420 liters of coffee, 200 kg of sugar, 3 thousand eggs transformed into a cooked zabaglione and 47 liters of Marsala.
After laying the last ladyfinger, the compliance check was carried out. According to the regulations, in fact, the dessert must be composed of four layers of biscuits and cream, and have a minimum height of 8 cm, explained Mirko Ricci, organizer of the record.
The gigantic delicacy was finally divided into over 6 thousand portions. To the delight of the public gathered at Tiare Shopping in Villesse (Gorizia), a strict rule of the competition establishes that the work must be consumed free of charge by all spectators.
