Italian DOC wine, certification and quality leadership
The Italian DOC wine confirms its leadership in the world, achieving the target of over one billion six hundred million bottles subjected to quality certification. A step that certifies to the world population Italian wine brands as the most strictly controlled on the planet.
Valoritalia alone, which also collaborates in the sector with Federdoc, Italian Wine Union and CSQA, declares to have covered in 2014 a sample corresponding to 70% of the production of Italian DOC, DOCG and IGT wines. An important signal that the wine of the Bel Paese can send to international export: buying Italian means purchasing a quality excellence guaranteed to the consumer.
The quality control and certification activity is scrupulous and is carried out in different processing phases: in the last year, for example, as many as 10 thousand inspection checks were carried out in the vineyard, 5 thousand in the cellars and 100 thousand on the documents. The attention dedicated by wine brands to their product is evident from the results obtained in specific investigations: chemical-physical examination and tasting highlighted only 513 cases of non-compliance compared to 46,734 samples analyzed (only 1.15% of the total).
