Turin breadsticks calories

Calories e breadsticks, a strange pair of words often proposed in do-it-yourself diets and not recommended by specialists. If in many diets aimed at consuming calories and losing extra pounds the use of carbohydrates is limited, the caloric intake of Turin or wholemeal breadsticks is greater than other types of bread only if compared using the same weight. In fact, per 100g of product, a common loaf of 00 flour has approximately 290 kcal, while the same quantity of breadsticks amounts to 421 kilocalories (370 wholemeal breadsticks).

However, it is necessary to partially debunk this myth: the calories in Turin and wholemeal breadsticks are high because large-scale production uses margarine and fats in the doughs, without respecting the traditional recipe. At the same time, the calorie content in a single breadstick is low: since they have no crumb, you certainly won't eat them by slices!

As much as there may be some truth to it, we cannot define the “ghersin” hypercaloric food. In every diet, it is necessary to look at calories, but also at the genuineness of the foods we choose. If we decide to replace the usual side dish with the delicious sticks, it will be enough to limit the quantity or choose wholemeal ones.
