Solar PV plant producer Magnetti Goldbeck is recommending that food companies install photovoltaic plants to meet their energy consumption needs at Tuttofood, currently underway in Milan. The company is presenting them with strategies combine the reduction of elevated energy costs with the implementation of eco-sustainable solutions. “It is evident that sustainability is a concept which can find applications in a number of fields,” observed Sergio Signorini, CEO of Magnetti Goldbeck, which has built a 68,000 kWh/year PV installation at an Amadori facility. “The green challenge for food companies is that they can benefit from energy savings not only in economic terms, but also in added value for the image of products and the company.
