An Official Partner

Expo 2015 will have Illy a san official partner. As part of the exposition to take place in Milan with the theme “Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life”, the company will manage a specific area organising meetings, events, and exhibitions dedicated to the history and culture of coffee. A synonym of Italian espresso all over the world, and operations spanning 80 years, Illy holds a two-thirds share of the global market which is valued at 500 million euros per year. The themes around which the historic company will construct its presence at Expo 2015 are the roots of coffee, as a beverage savoured in specific locales, in the European culture of the 19th and 20th centuries, to the relationship with the countries that supply the raw coffee beans, with evenings dedicated to every production reality, the search for excellence, and sustainable development. The CEO of the company, Andrea Illy, stated “we are proud of having been chosen as partners for Expo 2015. It is a unique occasion for cooperation and exchange.”
