An innovative test to identify celiac children in primary school. This is the project supported by the Angelo Molinari Foundation, which allowed first and second grade students to be screened in Tolfa, Allumiere and Santa Severa. The screening is coordinated by Professor Margherita Bonamico, who directs the Pediatric Celiac Center of the Policlinico Umberto I of the Sapienza University of Rome: the only facility where the examination can be performed. The test supported by the Molinari Foundation has the great advantage of not being invasive. It is based on the dosage of sentinel antibodies in saliva and is proving effective in celiacs for up to 9 years. It was developed together with Claudio Tiberti of the same university in the capital.
