Omega 3 pork, good fats in meat

Omega 3 pork, back to the future. With a fully certified process, the brand Nature Care (Ferri di Castelvetro group) produces pork with a high content of Omega 3. The project, based on years of research, reproduces with modern techniques the natural feeding of the pig, which saw the pig feeding on herbs and acorns in the woods, source of valuable unsaturated fats.

The certified forest

The same nutritional values that characterized the meat of the free pigs in the forest are regained today thanks to a food formula based on herbs and oil seeds, which recalls the ancient vegetable nourishment of the pig in nature.

The innovative process of Cura Natura is certified by Certiquality for the traceability of all stages of production. From the exclusive feed formula of the Ferri Group, to the breeding methods of Cura Natura (exemplary in respect of animal welfare), to move on to the subsequent stages of slaughter, transformation, packaging and sale.

'A virtuous circuit which starts from fresh meat, but will see all the partners who want to share the protocol involved in the Omega 3 Supply Chain, the first in Italy to be certified', specifies the historic company from Castelvetro.

In addition to the traceability certification, Cura Natura pig meats have obtained certification for 'feed recipe with guaranteed Omega 3 content' and breeding 'pigs with meats high in Omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids'.
