Cibus 2016: successful food export

Cibus 2016 analyzes the export flows. As in every edition, including the 18th biennial appointment, the International Food Exhibition publishes data on the evolution of the Italian agribusiness division. Particularly thriving in 2015, it attests the analysis presented at Cibus, which celebrates record numbers for the outcome of the big event: 3thousand exhibitors and 70thousand visitors, 15thousand of those from abroad, 2thousand top buyers.

According to the values processed based on Istat by Federalimentare, organizer of the exhibit together with Fiere di Parma, last year’s food and beverages export reached almost 29billion €, with a + 6.7% compared to 2014. Considering the entire agribusiness sector, however, this amounts to  37billion €: about 9% of total sale flow across the border, detects Cibus 2016.

Export is very lively for five segments. The statistical processing published in Cibus recorded the best results in the productive sectors of mineral water (+ 20.90%), beer (+ 18,70%), products of milling industry (+ 13,30%), fish (12 %) and coffee (+ 11.20%).
