Alce Nero has launched its “narrative labels” to supply consumers with detailed information on the entire path each of its products takes from the field to packaging.

The famous Italian natural and organic food brand that brings together over 1,000 agricultural producers in Italy and the world decided to adopt the model used by Slow Food in a continuing effort to offer consumers the maximum in transparency, reports Distribuzione Moderna.

The new Alce Nero labels proclaim the area of origin and ingredients for each product, as well as the variety, cultivation technique and processing, together with instructions on the best ways to eat and conserve. The objective of the cooperative, far from the simplified countryside image portrayed in advertising, is to satisfy the whim of every consumer’s curiosity, and offer each producer the possibility to tell their own story.
