Liberal campaigns, lobbyists serving the palmocrats

'Campagne liberali' is the website of lobbyists serving the palmocrats, also very active on Twitter. According to the manga's Dark Knights lore, (1) the authors of the site hide behind anonymity to unleash their attacks on the forces of good. But the skills of Inspector Clouseau are not needed to trace their identity, and whoever is behind it.

The 'Liberal Campaigns' site - according to Whois, Identity for Everyone (2) - was recorded on 30.9.16 by a certain Pietro Paganini. Which in turn operates through a private body - 'Competere', with offices in Rome, Milan and Brussels - whose company references are hidden (not disclosed!). (3) The 'Competere' site in turn presents Mr. Pietro Paganini - owner of 'Campagne Liberali' - as an expert lobbyist. Presumably close to the Minister of Health Beatrice Lorenzin, who will speak with a lectio magistralis on 'Welfare and freedom' - sigh! - at the last lesson of the 'School of Liberalism', on 19.6.17 on a terrace of the prestigious Via Veneto, in the capital. The owner of the 'Campagne Liberali' site, Pietro Paganini, introduces himself as the founder and 'Curiosity Officer' (?) Of 'Competere', a graduate in 'Business Communication'. Alongside him Roberto Race, general secretary of Competere as well as'Co-founder of The Ghost Team, the first international ghostwriter network for entrepreneurs, managers, diplomats, military and politicians'. Honorary President Mario Lupo, former President of ILVA (that of Taranto, ed). In addition to a crowd of journalists and lawyers, including Riccardo Rossotto, 'member of the legal commission of the Advertising Self-discipline'. And to Angelo Bruscino, president of the young entrepreneurs of Confapi (federation of Italian SMEs).

On social media, this team of lobbyists declares to 'Promote social campaigns of influence from below and disseminate the messages of partners on the network'. The professional activity of 'Advocacy from below' is presented as'reach the target audience from below, soliciting public opinion and decision makers to increase consensus on specific issues'. In the areas of intervention, betweenfinance and banking sector' And 'Health and pharma'also appears - like a cabbage snack, some would say - the'Food and beverage'.

Citizen lobbyists. Dark knights of manga or anonymous palmists?

But what do these gentlemen have to do with the ongoing debate on palm oil? We read on the site that 'Campagne Liberali is a citizens' association that defends freedom of choice and promotes the scientific method'. #BeatoChiCi Belie! The Dark Knights have skills in the lobby but not in science, much less in the food sector. Until they were hired by someone to mystify palm news.

The culmination was reached a few months ago in attributing to the joke of a doctor, at a Neapolitan conference, a 'weight' higher than that of the scientific evaluation of Efsa 3.5.16. Sui serious dangers, cancer and genetic mutation, linked to the contribution of contaminants of which the palm is extraordinarily rich.

And who will ever be behind to this' citizens' association 'lobbyists? We have asked this several times on Twitter, where the dark knights of the manga have repeatedly called us into question. But as expected, they didn't respond. And we have 'banned' them, as they say in the jargon, as we are used to talking also with stalkers but not with anonymous palmists. On the other hand, you don't need Inspector Clouseau to figure out who pays the dark knights of the manga. Good morning Enthusiasm!
