The Italian organic food and agriculture sector will be in the spotlight for the dedicated SANA exhibition from September 7-10 in Bologna. The expo, which has reached its 25th edition, will be organised into three areas. That dedicated to food will feature exclusively certified organic products, the pride of Italy as Europe’s second largest producer. In the pavilions dedicated to wellness, producers will display all natural and organic cosmetics in addition to herbal remedies, supplements and functional foods. The event will also include a section for “other natural products” focusing on fabrics, clothing, furniture and everything else in line with an ecological lifestyle. There will also be space meetings and workshops to address the issues of health and production. A SANA observatory, coordinated by Nomisma and Federbio, will look more closely at retail distribution channels and consumer behaviour in the non-food natural and organic product market that includes personal hygiene and the home. There will also be free training and professional courses. More information can be found at SANA 2013.
