Foreign large-scale distribution will be in force at Cibus 2014, the most important Italian food show, to profit from a privileged global showcase and point of contact with top international buyers.
This year’s edition of Cibus will see the presence of the foreign distributors and sector operators that Italian companies met with thanks to the initiatives set in motion over the course of 2013. Two examples are the joint venture with the Cologne Food Fair (Anuga) and Cibus Market Check with Italy’s food industry union Federalimentare, aimed at intercepting opportunities in internationally, and improving the positioning in large-scale distribution (the next stop is scheduled for March in Japan).
Over the four day exhibition, a workshop will take place on promotion in distribution organized by the University of Parma and Nielsen, including an award for the distribution chain that added the most value for Made in Italy products. Together with distribution alliances and decision makers, organic and religious (like kosher and halal) food certifications can also strengthen exports. Information, in addition to concrete guidelines for engaging in these processes will also be available at Cibus.
