New Materials at the Forefront

Compliance for food packaging made from recycled materials will be the issue of the day-long workshop organized by the Italian Institute of Packaging to be held in Baveno, not far from Stresa on Italy’s Lago Maggiore on 27 September 2013. The event will include the presentation of the guidelines for evaluating suitability of contact with food in packaging made from recycled materials laid down by the Food Packaging Commission.

The theme will be addressed during the third session on the agenda entitled Food Contact Compliance, which will be dedicated to some of the most current and important aspects in the discipline of materials and objects that come into contact with food. The first two days will be focused on adhesives (Wednesday the 25th) and inks (Thursday the 26th) used on food packaging.
